Name: Kady Dennis

What grade are you in?: I’m in eleventh grade.

Team Status: I’ve been on the team for the past three years. I’ve been on every sub-team but programming, but last year I found my niche in manufacturing. I was the mill master last year, I’m chief engineer this year, as well as manufacturing captain.

Accomplishments: I was a semifinalist for the Dean’s List Award last year as well as pit team captain. I’ve been teaching the new manufacturing team how to run the mill so they can take over next year.

How has being on Team 5401 impact your life?: Team 5401 completely changed my entire life. It’s taught me a lot of transferable skills like teamwork, leadership, and time management. I’ve also gained this whole new second family. It’s amazing.

What are your plans after high school? Has being apart of this team impacted your way of thinking about the future? If so, how?: My plans are to go for an undergraduate degree and then a medical school degree, but I’m not sure exactly what it is I want do to. Being a part of this team has changed how I think about the future because this team is the future. The students and minds on this team are what the future will be and it’s amazing to be a part of that. The future has so much in store from all the people on the team.

What’s your trademark saying the team knows you by?: “It’ll be fineeeeee!”
