Dan “Pop” Walker

 

Q: What is your speciality on the team?
A: Taking up space (insert chuckle). What I really do is help in the shop, and assist the manufacturing team.

Q: How many years have you been involved?
A: I have been involved on the team for 2 years.

Q: How did you hear/start out on the team?
A: Both my granddaughters are on the team. I heard that you could volunteer to help out on the team, and I thought it would be a great opportunity. 

Q: What do you do for a living?
A: I am happily retired. 

Q: What is your goal do you hope to achieve with students?
A: I want to teach them how to face and solve problems. I want them to understand how your going to face problems everyday, and how there not always a bad things.

Q: What do you want your students you mentor to know? What life lessons do you want to teach?
A: I don’t want them to think there a problem they cannot solve. There will always be someone who can help. Embracing a team atmosphere now,  will teach them how to embrace others idea, team mates can always help

Q: What college/high school you go to? What did you major in?
A: I didn’t go to college. I was a part of my high school’s 1963 class.
