Kickoff Weekend

Hello everyone, this past weekend marked the start of build season with our entire team gathering for kickoff. We spent our time reading through the rule book, analyzing game videos, and conferring with each other about different strategical and technical ideas. The theme of this game revolves around the 70’s arcade scene, it involves components like seven foot scales and switches to gain ownership over. Along with that there’s power-ups that add another level of complexity to the entire game. Despite the lack of heat in our school building, the kids came prepared with tons of blankets, layers of clothing, and ideas to contribute to the conversation. Mentors and students alike puzzled over the best way to approach this new game, it has provided us with a challenge that will keep us busy the entire season. By the end of the weekend, we drafted up a few ideas that will hopefully be carried out and turn into a winning strategy.
