2025 - Reefscape

2025 Robots

We built our first robot, Leviathan. However, after struggling with the weight limit of 115lbs, we re-designed and rebuilt it with lighter metal. To reflect this change, we renamed the robot Theseus, inspired by the philosophical question: If every part is replaced, is it still the same robot?

Reefscape - 2025 Challenge

FIRST® REEFSCAPE, the 2025 FIRST® Robotics Competition game, challenges two alliances of deep-sea explorers to restore a thriving coral reef ecosystem. Both alliances race to strengthen the reef by placing coral structures and managing algae growth while preparing for the final challenge—securing their place on the Barge.

Each match begins with a 15-second Autonomous period, where robots follow preprogrammed instructions to place coral, collect algae, and cross designated field zones for extra points.

During the 2-minute and 15-second Teleoperated period, student drivers take control, working together to continue reef restoration. Teams strategically place coral, manage algae, and optimize their scoring efforts. In the final 30 seconds, alliances face the ultimate test—climbing onto the Barge’s structure before time runs out. The strongest, most strategic teams will lead their reef to victory!
