Week 3: Halfway There!

Hello everyone! This week we were hit by snow mega-ton, meaning we lost time from the evening of Friday-Tuesday.  This set back our fabrication schedule 5 whole days and that legit kind of sucks. 🙁  Since we didn’t meet any of the days mentioned, our drive train was put back until Friday 1/29.  However, thanks to the assembly team the drive train wasn’t under construction still and was ready to go by Friday and didn’t push us back any seconds further behind.  But, before the robot could drive the FROgramming  team had to bust their butts to get code onto the RoboRIO so it can move and even set up subsystems excluding the sensors.  Even better; the CAD team has just about completed the CAD sketches for the robot.  Saving the best for last is that field elements is now going to complete  most of their job and finish most of the field elements soon so good for them  According to Sven; “Structurally is all done, just not mechanically.”  While the snow may have shoved us back we have doubled down and are pushing ourselves to get back on schedule in time for bag-and-tag day.
