Health and Safety Guidelines

  1. Before a student or Mentor can enter the lab, they will be given a temperature check by a Mentor and asked to complete a COVID-19 Questionnaire that asks the following questions:
    •  Since your last meeting, have you experienced any signs or symptoms of COVID-19?
    • In the past 72 hours (3 days), have you experienced signs or symptoms of respiratory illness including fever of 100.4 degrees F or greater, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath?
    • In the past 72 hours, has anyone in your household experienced signs or symptoms of respiratory illness?
    • In the past 14 days, have you had close contact (i.e. within 6 feet for more than a few minutes) with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, is in the process of being tested for COVID-19, is isolating as a result of suspected COVID-19 infection or is experiencing acute symptoms of COVID-19?
  2. A well fitting cloth mask (3-layers) or a disposable medical mask must be worn by all Students and Mentors
    • No bandanas or gaiters (wide tube of fabric is worn around the neck instead of over the ears)
    • Nose and mouth must be covered.
    • If you must remove your mask, please go outside. In event of harsh weather there will be a designated mask-free area
    • If you have a medical exemption you will need to talk to a Mentor before attending any in person meetings. Documentation from a medical professional may be required.
